Those of you that wash bottles in the dishwasher
Do you run a wash with just bottles or with dirty dishes too?
If you was with dirty dishes, do you then sterilize them?
At what age did you start washing the bottles with dirty dishes?
I run the dishwasher every other day with just bottles. Wanted to know if I was crazy or not

Me too. Always have, from day 1. Also my pump parts, when I was pumping.

I have been hand washing and my hands are raw!!
We just used the dishwasher with other dirty dishes, and standard dishwashing detergent. The last hour of the cycle, everything is clean anyway, whether it's other dishes or just bottles. Why waste water and electricity by just doing bottles? Using the dishwasher with other dishes makes the bottles clean and safe for DC today, and helps save the planet for DC tomorrow.... 
Dishwashers get the bottles much cleaner than handwashing ever can.

I washed them with the rest of the dishes. They are all coming clean at the same time, so the bottles don't get contaminated from the other dirty(then clean) dishes. The hot water and soap is what kills the germs (just like with hand washing). No need for a special cycle.

I washed them with the dirty dishes and didn't worry about sanitizing. The ped told me that the dishwasher gets hot enough to kill anything on them anyway.
