remember, when Gulliver traveled....

does your weekly "menu" change in the summer

meaning, do you kind of switch recipe cards like you switch closets??

I do.

I make a lot of soups and oven based things in the winter months.

now, I don't even want to see my stovetop going.

I make a lot of salads...and try to stick to things that don't take long on the cook top. we don't have central a/c...or ANY a/c so even boiling water on the stove heats up the place!

anyone have any "go to" summer recipes to share?

yes more salads - more cold fresh items like mango salsa on salmon or cucumber salsa on spicy pork chops- things like that

Like a PP poster said, I cook everything on the grill in the summer months. Actually I start using the grill late March, early April.

I stop with heavy food like meatloaf and make more summery salads etc.

I have great tomato recipes such as a tart and sandwhiches on homemade foccacio with mozzerellla

Mine does!!! In the winter months I make a ton of soups, and roasts. But in the summer I dont want to be anywhere near the kitchen!!!
We as well grill everything! We have a ton of salads also. Plus we eat alot of fresh fish (that DH or FIL catches)
