Eye sty?
I think I have the start of a sty. Out or nowhere, I got an itchy lump on my upper eyelid. It's definitely not a bug bite. It feels like there's something in my eye, but I guess it's just the bump... It's itching like crazy!
How do I get rid of it? Will it take long to go away? (we have a fancy-schmancy e-party on Saturday night) I've never had one before...
Thanks!

Re: Eye sty?
I get them from time to time. I usually get them from stress, lack of sleep or leaving my makeup on. They sell ointment at the drugstore for this that makes it better usually within a day.

Yes, it's called STYE. You can buy it at any drugstore. It works great. I used to get these a lot.

Re: Eye sty?
i got them constantly while I was pg. My eye doctor told me to wash my eyes (everyday) with tear free baby shampoo to keep the oils from building up ( and I STILL DO to prevent them!)! Warm compresses too

Re: Eye sty?
Believe it or not, you know what worked the best for me? Even better than the ointment? A HOT tea bag!
My mom told me to try it and I thought she was crazy...but twice a day I'd boil some water and soak the tea bag. Use it as hot as you can possibly take it. It reduces the swelling like you wouldn't believe!

Just in case anyone does a search on this in the future, I thought I'd add that tea bags definitely work best for me. It's the combo of the warm compress and the caffeine, actually. Caffeine is an ingredient in a lot of eye creams; it reduces puffiness by opening up blood vessels or something.
In any case, I'm glad the OP is all better!
