Hawaii Pics And Review.
We went to only Oahu. When we went 4 years we went to Oahu for 3 days Maui for 3 days and Kaui for 3 days. Since we were told Oahu was a city and we could use public transportation to get places we didn't rent a car.
This time we were spending 8 days there (turned in to 9 days since we flew stand by and didn't get on the plane on Saturday) we rented a car. BEST THING WE EVER COULD HAVE DONE! When we went for our honeymoon we left Oahu arriving in Kaui thinking Oahu was not so nice. All the bums on the street etc.
This time we drove a little bit out Wakiki and the first thing we saw was Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve AMAZING This is Hawaii!!!!!! I didn't get a pic with my camera  But here is a link to it Click We wound up going Snorkeling well I only spent about 4 minutes in the water but thats another story my husband snorkeled and had a great time. It was 5.00 a person to enter and you could rent gear if you needed to here. When we were in Kaui we went snorkeling on a tour and my DH said this WAS MUCH BETTER! There were these 2 cables under the water and one of the workers at the info center said they used to be the cable for the phone to the mainland.
Then we just drove and drove some more. We got a Mustang Convertible worth it. The locals say it's to hot for convertibles so thats how the know the tourists. Hey it's not Humid there. Wasn't to hot for me!We drove all around the island throgh the Windword coast and the north shore. We made a wrong turn and wound up at a navy base. We pulled in to find out where we needed to go. The guy at the Gate (hottie) was really nice told us and then said "ya'll have a nice day now" We found where the film lost. The "others camp" the beach the dock where michael and walt were taken from.
We stopped at The Nuuanu Pali Lookout. We had no idea that it's really windy  We almost blew away. My Nieces have a pic of their hair standing straight up 
One day we Did Diamond Head. I was so PROUD of myself. I am overweight and not in good shape. I do walk 2 miles a day on LI where there are no hills This was not that long but it was up hill in dirt and had a total of 271 steps you had to climb including a spiral staircase. I got up 3/4 of the way looked at the second set of steps and couldn't do it anymore. I made my DH go up with the camera to take pics. Then I was mad at myself while I wated for him.I felt I would be so disapointed in myself. So I went up the 99 steps and then to the spiral staircase by myself. I got up there and OMG WAS IT WORTH IT. Im so glad I did it. Not only can I say I did it but the VIEW just amazing!!!!!!
We stayed at the Resort Quest Wakiki beach hotel. My SIL BIL 3 nieces and nephew also went with Make A Wish for my Niece. They stayed at Resort Quest Beach Tower. Their hotel was really nice. A Condo style with 2 bedrooms 2 baths kitchen and living room. It was also close to 500.00 a night. Our hotel was 3 blocks away ALSO on the beach and was 171.00 a night. The elevators at our hotel stunk (they are being renovated from what I hear) and they charge 20.00 a night for parking. We parked the first night here since we were so tired then went a block away and parked at the Wakiki banyan for 60.00 for the week. When we checked out they tried to charge us for 4 nights. After a little fighting they took it off. All in All I would stay here it was clean cheap and on the beach!
Im sure I will think of more things but im gonna post some pics now! If I think of anything else ill update!

Looks like you had a great time.
I went there about 6 years ago and did the same thing. We rented a Jeep in Oahu, and drove around the whole island. There really is so much to see there.

Oh how I miss Hawaii... haven't been there in almost 10 years but how I wish I could go back again! (and Anthony wishes he could drive the car you rented  )

I'm still jealous though (especially of all your Lost pictures, but I was still holding out hope you'd have a Sawyer spotting  )

No. We just happen to drive past them. 
Like a month ago there was something in Newsday about where lost can be found. It didn't tell us where they were but told us the names. The others camp is a YMCA camp, and we turned down a road (we were just driving the perimeter of the island and made a random turn) and 3/4 of the way there it was along with the beach.

WE actually hit Cheeseburge in paradise. It was good.
We ate at Dukes 2 nights we were there. It was hard cause we had 9 people and 4 of them were kids. So we had to try and get everyone to agree.
On our anniversary we went to Haunauma bay and i got sun poisoning so we didn't go out for the nice dinner we wanted to

beautiful pics, loved hawaii, we stayed at the same hotel and i wished we had rented a car cause oahu ended up being our least favorite island and we didn't do anything if i ever go back we are def renting a car there
