I generally log my runs each time I get back from one. That's a pretty cool site.
Garmin also sells a watch with built-in GPS which will tell you exactly how far you've run...if anyone is looking for a gift to give to their runner.

I use this site every single weekend. I actually just mapped my 11 mile run tomorrow.
I have the Garmin too, but I find it too bulky and annoying to wear.

true, the older models were a little bulky (which is why i never bought one). but i may consider getting one of the newer ones.

Oops, didn't realize this post was so old, but I wanted to add that I find mapmyrun.com a little user-unfriendly. Maybe because I'm on a Mac? Anyway, this site does the same thing for me, and works right the first time: Gmap Pedometer
