San Diego
Next week, DH and I are heading to San Diego. Neither of us have ever been to CA and we are very excited about going. We have a few things planned, but are looking for any other recommendations. What are the must see/must do things in SD?
Also does anyone have any nice restaurant recommendations? Or first year anniversary is on Monday and we would like to so someplace nice.
TIA

Re: San Diego
If you do a search, there've been several threads about SD fairly recently with some great suggestions!
For a really nice dinner, I'd suggest the Pamplemousse Grille in Del Mar. It's on the fancier side, and everything's realllly good. lwebsite

If you like steak, go to Ruths Chris Steakhouse. The food was delicious.
Check out the zoo.

The Marine Room and Georges on the Cove are both great restaurants. They're in La Jolla. Great town to walk around too! Enjoy your trip! SD is my home away from home!

Re: San Diego
I thought of another one - Prado Restaurant at Balboa Park. Prado website I highly recommend it!

TOTALLY AGREE!!!
It is all about the food but also the location - RIGHT on the water... get a seat by the windows around sunset

Re: San Diego
Balboa Park is amazing
And definitely take a drive on the 101 -gorgeous!!
And for a nice dinner we went to Il Fornio (might be misspelled) in Del Mar. We had to request a table by the window and we got the best view of the sunset over the water... gorgeous!
