Re: Moving Comapanies

i used Bakin M & Son movers. they're located in brooklyn, but went to long island. they are awesome!!! they were so quick and careful. nothing broke, and the movers were really nice people. they even made an extra stop for free. but i gave them an extra tip. oh...and they're a flat rate!! the owner came by and gave me an estimate after looking at my stuff.

The thing that I really liked is that the owner came to our apt and took time to see what we had to move so there was no confusion when it came time to pay.

Thanks ladies - we have one more company coming tomorrow but instead of a flat rate its an hourly thing. We are moving to CT though so we'll see!

I just dont want to have to move all my crap AGAIN we actually have nice stuff for once! :)

Youre right it was nice that Lloyd himself came to estimate. He was happy to hear that he got nice feedback on this site too - though im not sure hes ever been online or really knew what i meant. Ha

Re: Moving Comapanies

We moved ourselves from our Apt. to our house.

I can tell you not to use Apollo moving. They moved my SIL to florida and hit an overpass tore the top of the truck off and they lost everything.

I THINK men on the move are vendors here now.

Re: Moving Comapanies

Our quotes for a move from apt on LI to house in CT came in at $1600, $2500, $3500. We are going with the cheapest but we have a good reco and I havent seen anything bad written on them either

Fingers crossed!

I cant believe the differences in cost though YIKES
