Yes, your hair will grow back exactly the same. (For me just as curly frizzy as it always was). With regard to your ends, I would get a trip. Just remember that JS tends to look better with non layered hair otherwise it tends to be "choppy". If your whole head is dry and damaged, then you should find a new place to you get your hair done next time.Chat Icon

Re: Japanese hair straightener..will my hair grow?

I'm in the process of growing mine out. My hair is growing back exactly the same, so right now, it's a disaster. The top is curly/frizzy, and the bottom is straight. I haven't done JHS in a year, and parts are still pin straight. My hair is basically back in a ponytail every day these days.

I grew mine out and then shaved it but in the mean time it grew in exactly how it was.. But remember while your hair is growing in and it still is straight at th ebottom, it is going to weigh down to top of your hair so it will still seem kind of straight..until you cut the ends off that are straight.
Did I make sense? lol

Where did you go? Your hair should NOT be fried at the bottom, top, anywhere.

Your hair will definitely grow in the same way. Got mine in May and starting to see the curl coming back at the root but still not bothering. Still a million times better then what it was before JHS...but I have NEVER had a problem with dried, frizzy, fried hair ever. The growing out process is not fun cause of the difference between your root and the rest of your hair, but it's totally worth it. wait it out for 6 months and get it done again...that's my thing.

Thanks...cause i was really worried it would grow in differently. I got it about a month ago and i already see my hair growing in cause before i got it done i cut my own bangs just above my eyes and now they hang low under my eyes, and my hair was straight when i cut them so i know it def. grew. But my natural hair is not curly, it's wavy kinda so i don't think it will be much of a difference, just that my hair has a lot of volume. My hair doesn't look fried, it looks nice but i have split endsChat Icon

you should always get a trim after getting it done

that's normal

also try some bio silk to add moisture back
