Follow Up Appts

Do you always do a follow up appt with your doctor if he/she tells you to come back?


2 weeks ago I had a pain in my lower back/side.

I went to the drs they did urine and blood. They call me and said my platelet count is elevated and my urine was contaminated and they want to retest.

I feel fine.

Do I go back and pay the copay just in case or do I wait for something else to bother me?

i would go back and I always do. Just because you don't have pain, doesn't mean something isn't still there.

I don't think the doctor would want you back for nothing.

I don't always go back, but if they found something wrong, I would definitely go back.

When you mention pain lower back..kiidneys come to mind.

you can always buy a urine "dip stick" they sell these at the pharmacy see if your leukecytes are dark purple color. if so.. sign of infection.. along with ketones.. I would go back to your doc. just to check things out..

or just go back for the follow up.. GL
