Catholic School Teachers I Need Your Help

Hi! I have an interview on Friday for catholic schools in the diocese of rockville center. I'm soooooo nervous!! If anyone can give me a heads up on what they might ask, that would be great! Thanks!

What grade level is it? I know that, as a HS teacher, I was asked totally different questions than for the elementary school.

I was asked how I would teach religion in addition to my cert area (it was for a 6 and 7 position). They asked what 3 things my students would say they learned in my religion class.

THey could ask about technology and how you incorporate it into the curriculum.
They will probably ask about your teaching styles and how you teach to children of all learning styles...

I am sure I will think of more

How did you answer that one? I honestly havent been to church in a long time.

Well I hadn't either, which could explain why I didn't get the job. I said something to the effect that we can see Jesus all around us. Best I could do on my feet

I was just hired for a catholic school position. The interview I had with the principal was easy, very basic questions.
She asked how do I deal with difficult parents and why I'm not returning to my position. She actually looked at my portfolio, which has never happened to me before. It was really just a conversation, not like a formal interview at all.

The next day I met with the pastor and he asked me a lot more questions. Where did I go to school?
What about working in a catholic school appeals to you?
If I gave you 20,000 for your classroom what would you do with it?
Parent Communication?
Incorporating Technology?
What do you love most about teaching?

I was super nervous too, but it was such a warm atmosphere and I felt at ease very quickly.
