advice needed..
I plan to finish up my degree in elementary education. I am wondering if I should also have special education. Will that help me land a position? I would appreciate any advice you can give. thanks

I am not elem ed certified but just from knowing people who are it is better to be dually certified if you can. It will make you stand out.

In both today's classrooms and job market, I think it is a must to have a special education degree. Definitely go for it!!

Only do special ed if you would be willing to teach special ed.
I got another certification in Literacy and although not as needed as special ed I could not really see myself as a special ed teacher

I agree that you need dual in something for elementary jobs today. Literacy, reading, ESL, sped...
