Re: Please explain the CVS savings
I have a CVS extra card, which was provided by my insurance company. We get 20% off of all CVS brand medications/vitamins, as well as collect CVS Extra bucks. You also have to have the card to get the advertised savings.
The CVS extra bucks are based on your purchases, as you buy things you earn credit - at some point when checking out the register will print out coupons for Extra buck (which can be used in the store) as well as coupons off of merchandise.
The regular Extra Card, is the same as the one I have expect you dont get the extra 20% off of CVS brand medications/vitamins.

Re: Please explain the CVS savings
I'm still learning about it, but check out this website iheartcvs.com. It's great and it explains the awesome deals people get.
Like i said i'm just starting, but yesterday i got 2 jumbo packs of huggies diapers, 2 cards and a roll of wrapping paper for $10.
The diapers were on sale for $8.99 and i had 2 coupons ($1 and $1.50 off) for each pack of diapers. Then i had a coupon for $1 off a greeting card. Then i had $4 off a $20 purchase, $3.50 cash back and another $4 cash back coupon. Plus a $2 off a $10 purchase.
So for something that should have cost me $30... i paid $10.
Basically you stock up on the things you need that happen to have Earned Cash Back (ECB) bucks for future purchases.

Re: Please explain the CVS savings
CVSing is my new hobby, lol. You look for items that are promotional and giving Extra Care Bucks (ECB) back. Combine those with manufacturer's coupons, and voila, you can score lots of stuff for little out of pocket! :) I find that it takes a lot of planning to get your totals down low, but there's nothing like the rush of having a negative total and being told you need to add a candy bar or something LOL

Re: Please explain the CVS savings
recently, i purchased two cans of formula on sale for about $26 each, bringing my total to $52. i used 2 $10 off purchase of $50 or more coupons, bringing it down to $32 (they will let you use two of the same CVS coupons). Then I used two Similac Checks for $5 each, bringing my total for two cans of formula to $22.

Re: Please explain the CVS savings
Good job! :)
Just fyi, their policy is for them to allow multiple coupons if your total adds up (so to use 2 - 10 off 50's, total should be 100 first), otherwise it's considered stacking and they don't like that... but you must have had a cool cashier, lol

ya i don't think cvs openly promotes stacking, but every store i have been to allows it.
