I feel like I ask this all the time but what 5ks are you doing?

I am just jonesing to do more!! Sept 27th feels like it's so far away....which ones are you doing?

I am not runninga 5k but I am running a 10k on the 31st of August. Nike Human Race and then a Half Marathon on Sept 19th.

Hi! They're not 5K's but I'm doing a few races in the next couple of months.

I'm doing a 4 mile race in Central Park on 9/6.

After that, I'm doing the Cow Harbor Run on 9/20.

I'm also thinking of doing the 5K at the Oyster Festival in October.

Which one's are you doing?

I am doing the Running of the Bull in Smithtown on 9/27

Reese I was thinking of doing the Oyster Bay 5k as well! Let's sign up!

I think I may sign up for the Marine Corps 911 Run/Walk 5K at Blydenburgh in Hauppauge on 9/6

I am also going to do a Turkey Trot but I am not sure which one yet

I was super tempted to sign up for the Tobay triathalon for next Sunday but it's like $115 bucks but it's only $50 if you sign up in April.

Next year I am definitely going to step it up and try some 10ks and who knows maybe a 1/2 or a triathalon

I'm not signed up for any 5Ks before september.

I am doing Cow Harbor 10K, Vet's Day 4K, Huntington Village 4 mile Turkey Run. I've been thinking of the Phoenix half in January (family lives out there)

if you want to do a nice triathlon - the Hyannis (cape cod) one is great!
Sorry I just looked it up - it's closed , but they have one in June and Septemeber every year.

I think I'm going the Susan G. Komen in Central Park on Sept. 14 (i think that's the date).

Let's do it! I just got something in the mail the other day from GLIRC. We can register online at glirc.org or via mail. Yay!

I also think it's awesome you want to do a triathlon. I'd like to do one some day but really want to do a 1/2 marathon first. Next year's Hampton's 1/2 may be the one I sign up for.

You should totally do Cow Harbor next year, too!

I don't think I'll be able to do a tri till next year. The ones that I think I can complete have already passed - definitely next year!!

I would love to do Cow Harbor next year. I just really wanted to work on my 5k time before moving onto 10ks.

It's really amazing how planning these races have helped with my workouts so much!

I know what you mean about the races helping your workouts. I have always been a goal-oriented person and I just find I stick to my schedule more if I know I have something coming up.

I think I may do a Turkey Trot in November so I have something to look forward to then as well.

I have done quite a few tris and there are TONS of fun! If you think that people at road races are nice - people at triathlons are 100x nicer! They are encouragin and always cheering you on - it's a great experience!

Sprints are great little triathlons - ~.5m swim; ~10m bike and ~3 m run

I once did a mini sprint and it was fast and really fun! (think half those distances!) I think it was the reebok series (it was in San Diego)

I just emailed about signing up for the 10/26 Halloween 5k

It will be my first!

Just have to make sure it doesn't coincide w/ yoga.... but otherwise, i'm there!
