Question...
Are you not supposed to have nail polish on when you give birth? My aunt is 36 weeks PG and contemplating having a pedi
Thanks!

Re: Question...
Isn't it just not on your fingers? Maybe it is toes too?

Re: Question...
I had both my nails and toes done right before I went into labor. The doctors never said that I couldn't.

Re: Question...
I know I had a pedicure done before delivery, I don't think I had polish on my fingers though. But I'm not sure if you can or not, nobody ever told me I couldn't.

Re: Question...
I would only think maybe if she was having surgery you sometimes cannot have any nail polish on during that. Other wise I don't see why she cannot have her nails done. I know I always have polish on my finger and toe nails

Re: Question...
I used to go for weekly mani/pedi's before I gave birth because I always wanted fresh polish in case my water broke

Ah, makes sense, maybe that's why she's concerned.
Thanks everyone! I'm going to tell her to do it, but to bring a bottle of polish remover just in case!

Re: Question...
You arent supposed to have it on your fingers b/c you can tell if you oxygen levels are normal by the color of your nail beds.

Re: Question...
my mom told me this- i think it's more of the old way of thinking. i've never heard of a doctor saying this nowadays.
