So Yanks fans...how are we feeling?
Heading to our usual Saturday game....and it's just a sucky feeling. Yeah the offense is dormant....but Mo last night? It honestly couldn't get any worse right now.
I've resigned myself to the fact that it's over...yet my heart isn't letting go.
DH is adding a silver lining to this - we have tix to the final game and we can sell 'em for helluva profit! Yeah the money is tempting but....I gotta be at that game!
So....I know this forum shows more activity for Mets fans...but Yankees fans, how do you feel?

Objective Met fan here
Honestly, you're not out yet
Obviously, you have to start winning, but if you can get within 6 games of the wildcard, you have 6 games vs. Boston I believe, so there's a shot there
Plus, if TB starts a skid, and you can pick up a few, you also have 6 games with them as well, I believe - so there's stil; chances.
You obviously have to win - but you do have opportunities.
And yeah, the diehards have to be at the last game - for both teams - it's not about the money

I appreciate your objectivity very much! I wish I could feel positive about our 'opportunities' - but I guess with the way they've been playing...I mean geez, yesterday's game a prime example - 13 innings, 3 runs. The opportunities staring them in the face- runners in scoring position with NO OUTS - and they leave them hanging time and time again.
Once again with a win I'm gonna hope that was the turning point. Injuries are not helping...but again, right now the injuries are in the pitching staff (minus Matsui but he should return soon, but I guess we can't forget Posada either) - which is funny - pitching has not been the problem!! I'm amazed our hitting coach (Kevin Long) has kept his job as long as he had.
It's all been baffling, to say the least.

I didn't say I supported it
I'm just pointing out the opportunities that exist - lots of baseball left

Well I meant your emotional support for downtrodden fans such as myself. I KNOW you don't support the Yanks as a team in any way, shape or form. And I can respect that!

I have to agree with his. I would never say, F these guys though. I love them now and forever! They're the best team baseball has ever seen. They're a dynasty.

Re: So Yanks fans...how are we feeling?
Feeling pretty good right now. They just wrapped up a 9-4 victory over Baltimore. Back-to-back jacks from Cody Ransom and Xavier Nady capped it in the 8th. Abreu had a 5-for-5 night.
My dad and I were at last Sunday's 15-6 Royal thrashing. A-Rod, Nady, Giambi (GS), and Ransom went deep. The Moose was effective after giving up three runs in the first.

I didn't really mean F them forever! Just this season! Come on, you've never gotten so frustrated that for a couple minutes you just can't bear to watch them play?
But you get over it really fast?
Just me?
Okay.
What I hate is that now I'm feeling positive again...ugggh don't wanna get my hopes up!!!
Gotta sweep Baltimore today!! GO YANKEES!

Oh I know that! I have gotten so frustrated with them. I guess when my bro talks about them when they're sucking he HATES them and then I call him a fake yankee . They won yesterday (by the skin of their teeth)
