So my husband just said (scrapbooking related).....
that part of the reason that scrapbooking is becoming more popular is that it is something inexpensive to do in a weak economy. I guess he does not look at my receipts from the scrapbook stores because I feel like I am going BROKE on this hobby.
He has a point, though because he was saying that a night in the house scrapbooking costs less than a big night out or a family trip. He also said that now that the price of cameras and printing has come down, people are more interested in scrapbooking.
How do I tell him that I still need those nights on the town and family trips because I have to have things to scrapbook about?

Oooh, that's a conundrum!  I guess show him a book and say "Oh honey, remember when we ...?" and see if he goes from there!

we probably could have taken a trip around the world for two for what I have spent on scrapbook supplies.
At one point I was roughly calculating what I spent per page, it started getting up to about $20 so I stopped counting

I've thought about that--how much did this page cost me? Then I decided not to count it in the cost if I used something from my stash that I had started to think I would never use.

when lisa took out insurance on her room, I knew it wasn't inexpensive!
but don't let your Dh on...let him think it's inexpensive - then he won't bother you about it!

Yea if they only knew!! I made a Disney Scrapbook each for my FSIL's and they had to cost over $75 in supplies each- Easily up to $100!!!

Husbands at times are so naive.
My husband doesn't have any idea how much money i have invested in this hobby. I'm even going away for the weekend to an all day scrapathon in Conn.
