ohmygosh. all my meds came today!
a huge box came today loaded with all my meds! i am to take 10units of lupron, one week after my surge begins. (still waiting for that). i got that and follistim. i am to take 225 of follistim.
any reccomendations on using these meds?

Lol- it's not as bad as it looks.  
I am a baby and I ice before all of my shots.
That being said- I got 2 (IM) shots w/ out ice (at the dr's office the other day ) and though the one really hurt, the first one was no worse than a subq shot (in the stomach).
I promise you it's not as bad as you think- once you do one it will be a piece of cake. Just remember to stick it STRAIGHT in

the nurse reccomended warm compresses rather than ice. any recs as to whether or not ice or warm compresses are better?

I have heard of warm compresses for PIO shots (since they're oil they can actually get thicker w/ cold temps) but not for these.  It's your call-

ill be right behind you soon! im not looking forward to ordering all those meds...... can you tell me a surge is? so you dont start you meds right away?? ugh i hate not understanding all this

trust me. i dont get it either! 
a surge is when you are ovulating or about to.

i found that icing the site actually hurt more than the acutal injection

they suggested that i do an ovulation test and then start my meds exactly 1 week after my initial surge.
