Question???

Are you happy/or did you plan which month you would like the baby to be born? The reason why I ask is because I am due in May and a majority of the people ask me(especially co-workers) if I planned a May baby just to have the summer off. I say no.
But I am happy to have the summer off.

Re: Question???

I would have loved a May or June baby just for that reason but it didn't work out that way. I'm not looking forward to being 9 months pregnant in the summer, though.

Re: Question???

I had a baby in March and I loved that time of the year, spring was around the corner, it was great! I just had my son inn August and I would NEVER do that again! I was miserable in the heat, I felt so uncomfortable it was not fun at all!

Re: Question???

I always told DH when we decided to have a baby, I did not want to be preggers in the summer... The baby came as a HUGE SURPRISE and it just so happens that I will not be pregnant during the summer! And the added bonus is I get the whole summer off to be with the baby, I'm due in June...

Re: Question???

that could be a tad bit rude i think...

I am due early may and yes I am loving the timing, I get my first summer off since high school. We didn't plan on it though, we felt blessed to have baby any time of the year.

Re: Question???

Kind of... I will only be home for 3 months with the baby so I wanted it to be during a time when I could be outside with the baby. I also didn't want to be huge in the hot humid weather.

Ideally I wanted to give birth in the end of May or June. The doctor told me the average woman takes 6-8 months to get pregnant so we figured we'd give ourselves some "cushion" room. Well we got pregnant on the first try.

ETA: I am due April 20 and I am very happy!! Chat Icon

Re: Question???

We did not plan this pregnancy, however, had we, I would have been proud of our timing! Chat Icon It does help that I am due in late June because I would not have gotten paid for taking time off from work. It just worked out well that I teach and have the summer off.

Re: Question???

I was trying for so long at that point I didn't care when the baby was due. After being pregnant during the summer I will try to plan the next baby better.

Re: Question???

I wish we had planned better....having a Jan baby was rough getting through the holidays with buying ,wrapping, mailing gifts out.

Next time around we MAY plan for a april/May baby since those months there are no birthdays or occasions.
