What works for you?
I didn't really do a lot of incentives/consequences today since I have a decent amount of kids that I "looped" with (so they know my expectations).
I'm wondering however, what works best for you?
Last year I did table stars (to which I gave candy out every day to the table that had the most stars) and a demerit system where the team who had the least demerits got a free homework pass.
I've heard of the marble jar and the stop light ideas. Is there anything else that you've put in place that works well?

Re: What works for you?
I have table points, something like a marble jar for the whole class, then everyday, I pick a student and if he or she does a great job, he or she gets a piece of candy. But the students don't know who it is until the end of the day.
And I do the green, yellow, red idea, too.
I teach lower elementary.

Re: What works for you?
Sorry...I guess it would have been helpful if I had told you guys what grade. I teach 4th this year (switched from 3rd)
Right now the table points seem to work and I have a whole class compliment tree (found on abcteach.com). Everytime the class is good as a whole, I color in 1 leaf. For 10 leaves colored, they get a treat.
We'll see how long this works. Thanks for your help!
