Kidney Stones

I've been to the ER 2x in a week and had severe pain again this morning - thankfully the pain killer they prescribed helped this time. I haven't passed it yet and if I don't by the end of this week I may have to do laser treatment or possibly surgery

Has anyone had either of those treatments? What is the recovery time?

I have a kidney stone that's still hanging out in my left kidney..... I've decided not to do lithotripsy, which basically uses shock waves to pulverize the stone to make it easier to pass! It is a outpatient procedure and you may still fell some pain when it passes, but nothing like the whole stone!

I actually had a stent put in my ureter at one point for another kidney condition, and with that, they are hoping that if the stone I have ever decides to pass (it's 5 mm), that it will on its own (can't wait for that! ).
