Please help - really confused!!
Hi - this is my first time posting as I am new to this whole thing. We are not really trying to concieve yet - we will probably be starting in April. Some background first - I was on the pill last October and became pregnant unexpectedly (we are getting married this march), unfortunately it ended in a miscarriage after the heart stopped beating at 7 weeks. I had a D&C in the beginning of Nov and since then I have gotten AF every 28 days. I have always been very regular. Anyway I just decided to start tempting halway through my cycle - Have only been doing it for 3 days - but I am really confused because I am getting the exact same temp every day 97.7 ( I am using a BBT thermometer). So I don't know if I am doing something wrong or if there is something going on. Sorry this is so long! I appreciate any help. TIA!!

Sorry about your loss
Temps can stay the same,...it's quite normal. Just means that the hormones are balanced. Just take the temp during the day to make sure that it's not the thermometer, and that the temps actually can change.

Re: Please help - really confused!!
I am very sorry to hear about your loss.
My only experience with having the same temps every day was when my thermometer actually broke. But my temps were the same for 5 days in a row and that had never happened to me before. Is it a new BBT?

Do what redstar says and take your temp any other time during the day to see that you get a different temperature.. I have gotten the same temps several days in a row too so its normal but I would just check at another point during the day to make sure.

Re: Please help - really confused!!
Thanks, for your answers girls - I am glad to hear it could be normal.
And yes it is a new BBT - its CVS brand so maybe there is something wrong with it.
I will try taking my temp again today when I get home.
I appreciate all your help!

I have the purple CVS brand and the default is 97.7. If you are taking your temp and then going back to retrieve it from memory, make sure you hold the white button down until the temp comes up when you are turning it on. If you just press the white button, let it turn on and then go back to retrieve the temp, it will default to 97.7.

Re: Please help - really confused!!
I started with a CVS BBT. I just wanted to let you know I did have a few problems with it. I may have been impatient with my TTC but I asked on this board what BBT was most recommended and the BD BBT seemed to be what most suggested (which I was only able to find in Eckerd).
Just letting you know in case your BBT happens to turn out to be broken

Re: Please help - really confused!!
Thanks so much - you guys are so helpful! I tend to overreact so I took it as a sure sign that I am infertile and was getting ready to run to an RE even though we are not trying
I will definately try all these things tonight and maybe consider getting a new one!
