I need to say this... EVERYONE PLEASE READ
I was so excited to see this board come to life. As stepparents we sometimes go through things that others cannot imagine or understand the feelings involved with ~ some tough, some confusing and some just plain aggrivating! It is nice to have somewhere to go for advice, or just to vent.
That being said, I know this is a public forum and others will read and give their opinions. That is fine and can be appreciated - but PLEASE - lets not judge eachother or be harsh about anyone elses feelings because each one of our situations is unique and none of us has walked in the others shoes. Some have great relationships with the blended families, others do not have such great relationships for whatever reasons.
On the intro thread, a few posters said they probably woudln't post much because of certain reasons and I think that is sad, because it defeats the purpouse of this board, but after reading some of the responses given so far, I can understand why they feel that way.
This can be a great board with lots of valuable advice and imput. It can help us with our sanity at times. Just please lets remember that we all do have different situations and people life choices and or family dynamics should not be judged here. We should be lending eachother support and advice. THANK YOU.

I know I feel better knowing that I have my "girls" watching my back should I get attacked by something that I post....
While Im sure we dont always agree on how a situation is handled we need to remember that there is so many dynamics going on with a blended family...and most times it's just not feasible to tell the WHOLE story. (as much as we'd like to)

This sounds great. I was so excited to join LIF and see a STEP-PARENT's thread!!  I'm just a little sad going through the posts and seeing how everyone is judged. This is an open forum and everyone comes from different places. It would be nice to be open and freely express some things I have experienced or lend advice without fear of being attacked. Just hoping others will feel the same.
