Do you clean flour sifters?
and if so, how? I feel like I am supposed to clean it, but if I wash it, won't gluey bits of flour get stuck in there?
TIA.

DON'T DO IT!!! I tried a few years ago and it did exactly what you said and I think caused some kind of bacterial reaction. It was absolutely disgusting and smelly and I had to throw it away! Learn from my mistake!!! Just tap out the flour!

Re: Do you clean flour sifters?
I don't even use a sifter... I just tap a regular hand-held strainer.. then it goes into the dishwasher......

Re: Do you clean flour sifters?
DONT DO IT!!!.. i made the mistake of doing this and got flour balls stuck into the shifter part and wont come out even if i tried washing again. Just wipe it with a dry rag.
