Hi, for those of you that live in Kings Park, does the district still only offer half day kindergarten or do they now offer full-day? TIA.

Re: Kings Park SD

My little neighbor goes to Full Day Kindergarten this yr at Fort Salonga... apparently they have 2 full day classes. Not next yr but the following year the district should be full day for everyone. Call the school and find out the specifics about the full day. FM if you need more info I'll ask my neighbor. HTH!

Those classes are probably for children who are deemed "at risk" meaning children who will likely require servcies. My sister lives in the district and my understanding is that KP is a little better than regular 1/2 day, meaning they have block scheduling which adds an additional hour to the day. With regard to enrichment there are programs that will bus as long as you live in the district. I know a lot of people in that area use New Discovery.
