Welcome, may your stay here be short and sweet 
A good way to begin, is just to get to know your body. Figure out how long your cycles are. You may want to use an ovulation prediction kit (opk) to track your ovulation.
A great book to read is Toni Weschler's Taking Charge of Your Fertility.

Welcome!!!!
I recently began TTC myself. I did 2 months of "unassisted" trying and then moved to OPK's. I also purchased the book Redstar suggested and have found it very helpful.
I am now temping & charting on Fertilityfriend.com and invested in the Clear Blue Easy Fertility monitor for this cycle.

Welcome to the boards
Have you decided to chart your temperatures? Or to use ovulation kits to know when you are ovulating? Or are you just trying naturally for now?

Thank you all for your well wishes. I do not plan on taking my temperature every morning. My schedule fluxuates each and every day.
My husband and I have been trying on our own for 8 months now. I tried using the Ovulation sticks (I used 3 packages last month) but I never saw 2 lines. Always just one. So we are off to see my doctor in 2 weeks.
