Houston we have a problem

Okay so I lost 1.5 pounds last week. Im okay with that....its something.
The problem.......I been having problems with my knee....went to the DR yesterday, going for an MRI sunday....he said it sounds like I have a torn meniscus. Just great!!!!!
Just as I was motivated more than anything THIS has to happen. I can still go to the gym and work out my arms but I cant really do cardio or anything like that where it will aggravate my knee Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Oh man I am so sorry that sucks!! I have a torn meniscus (from like 9 years ago!) and I have learned to live with it - but I don't think this is always the case. My doctor suggested surgery but I declined.

Maybe when your knee is feeling better you can do some strengthening exercises for your quads. The stronger they are the better it will be for you knee.

What about Pilates? I did that before my wedding and there really is no strain on the knees. It really sculps your body.

Re: Houston we have a problem

sorry to hear that this is happening as you're getting motivated.

is there a hand-bike?? (or whatever they're called)

i remember a gym teacher once saying that he ordered that for the gym when he had broken his leg for his cardio.

hth

hope it's not as bad as the dr made it out to be
