Am I pregnant?...negative HPTs

First off, I am new to this community and very excited to connect w/ others TTC.

A little more than a week ago I started to get a LOT of cramping which I thought was the start of AF. I also noticed that throughout the day at diffferent times I was sick-to-my-stomach. It passed pretty quickly but seemed to always come back. After I realized that AF was not coming I started testing. The first was on the day AF was due, the 2nd was 2 days past AF and just this morning (a week past AF due date). All came back negative.

My question is ,has anyone always tested negative with HPT and not until going to the DR for a blood test did they find out they were pregnant? I am getting pretty discouraged...

Are you sure about when you ovulated? What are you using to determine your O date?

I agree with maybeamommy...are you sure that you know the day that you ovulated? Also, are your cycles pretty regular? If not, then maybe this is just one of those "longer months" if that happens to you sometimes...?

this happened to my SIL. a blood test at the doctor confimed a pregnancy. her hormone levels were too low and didn't come up on a store-bought HPT. if you really think you might be (depending on O date and when you BD'ed and how well you know your cycle) I would go get it checked out. SIL had to go on hormones to help sustain the pregnancy.
