New Here and a Vent!!
Just wanted to intro myself - I'm fairly new to the boards - post more on the Infertiilty/TTC forum...
DH and I are in an adjustable rate mortgage that was just adjusted up - we contacted our mortgage co to apply for "financial hardship" payment modification due to the fact that I was laid off and we would have problems meeting the new higher amount. We were turned down for a payment modification because our income and debt figures didn't qualify us. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isnt that the very definition for the need for a payment modification??? We've never been late w/ a payment in the past - I would figure the company would want to work with us to avoid default! I'm not asking them to forgive my mortgage obligation, just take a little less per month! What does a person need to do to get some help around here?
TIA for letting me vent! I'm just sick over this!
