Family Unit Ideas

I am starting a Social Studies unit about Our Famlies and other families not like ours with my kindergarten class.


Any ideas for activites? I have collected family photos, but I am not sure what I am going to do with them yet. Maybe collages?

Any good book suggestions?

Maybe simple family trees. I would incorporate a my family unit into also knowing their addresses, phone numbers, things like that too.

You could start out by also talking about animal families and do same/different with our families..we are doing a unit on families now..we also talk about different foods families eat, maybe chores you do, etc...
