When can we ttc again?
I had to take my husband to the emergency room Saturday night. Turned out to be appendicitis. We both ended up being awake for 38 hours. It's so wierd how it can come on out of no where. That was his first sign of it. When do you think it would be ok to ttc again? We weren't able to try this month b/c I was sick. a/f is due on Thursday so I'll probably be ovulating the week of Feb 6th.

Did you ask his doctors how long it would take him to heal? I have NO idea on this one

Does he have stiches? If not the probably as soon as he feels up to it. How did they treat him?

I didn't ask the doctor. He is not allowed to lift anything over 5lbs for 4 weeks and yes he does have stiches. The way he is walking right now my odds don't look good. He says he will be ready but I'm not so sure. Just as long as he is ok is all that matters.
Melijane.....What do you mean how did they treat him?

Thats what I meant-did he have any medications or stiches. I would say he probably would be in a lot of pain to "do it" with stiches

Did it burst or was it removed before bursting? It's a pretty serious situation for an adult - unfortunately, my guess that it would be pretty risky for him to participate in too much physical activity so soon.

It didn't burst. He actually caught it really quick although the doctor said it was really inflamed. I guess I'll just have to wait until he is ready. I just feel like every month there is something else and I'm never going to get pregnant.

does he have stiches?
I had my appendix removed and had stiches and you are supposed to not strain that area for a while...
But now a days they remove the appendix without any stiches...
