UPDATED 11/6....With all this holiday talk...I would love to plan the LIF Holiday GTG this year for the kiddies

Unless someone else claimed it already Chat Icon

If I remember correctly last year there were two, one in Woodbury and one in Sayville. I live in Merrick so if everyone still wants to have 2 seperate GTG's I'll plan the one for Nassau but if we want to try and plan 1 big GTG if we can find a place that can accomodate all the kids and adults, I'll be happy to plan a big GTG as well.

We did a "Secret Friend" gift exchange last year which I thought was cute. Would everyone still like to do this?

Last year the GTG at the Woodbury Gymboree was fantastic...it seemed like everyone had a great time. Should we look into a Gymboree again or does anyone else have other suggestions?

Let me know what everyone thinks! I know we have a ton of new babies and mama's on the boards

UPDATE 11/6

Ok...so I called around and got some prices for this years Holiday GTG. I know we want to try and do a combined one (Nassau and Suffolk LIF'ers) but that all depends on the number of kids attending. I know we have a lot of new moms and new kiddies Chat Icon Either way, I will post the choices and we can decide from there!

We'd love to go again. Woodbury was fine. Maybe someplace bigger though? Once Upon a Treetop, or Bouncers & Slydos? Not sure what their limits are but they seem bigger.

I can call and find out what kind of party packages they have. I am trying to think about the little ones and what would be good for them as well...any suggestions other than Gymbore? Gymboree is all padded so they can crawl around. Not sure if Once Upon a Treetop has anything like that.

ETA: actually I have been to Once Upon a Treetop and remember there being sections for the little guys.

Re: With all this holiday talk...I would love to plan the Holiday GTG this year for the kiddies

I just checked and Bouncers and Slydos and Once Upon a Treetop seemed kind of expensive.

Bouncers and Slydos is $399 for 12 kids and $11.95 each add'l child. That is almost $30 p.p. Chat Icon I think we should look for something a little less expensive.

Re: With all this holiday talk...I would love to plan the Holiday GTG this year for the kiddies

Once Upon a Tree Top and Bouncers and Slydos will only do a birthday type party where you pay the base party price and then the additional price per child and then the food for the adults. I previously explained to them we wouldn't need the hostess, etc., but neither would budge on the pricing. It was almost $30 a child so I nixed that idea in the past. Maybe try calling again though.

Re: With all this holiday talk...I would love to plan the Holiday GTG this year for the kiddies

How about My Gym. There is one in Plainview which pretty much in the middle for Suffolk and Nassau girls. It looks much bigger than Gymboree so it might be able to accomodate more than 25. And it looks like it would work for the little guys and the older ones.

They also have one in Commack but like I said, Plainview is more of a middle ground for everyone. I have never been there. Does anyone have any feedback? I will call for party pricing tomorrow.
