Mums - Fall flowers
Where is a good place to get fall flowers from? Inexpensive...and small.
I need them for both sides of my walkway. I just pulled out my dead petunias. Thanks, Scott

Re: Mums - Fall flowers
We got great deals at the pumpkin farm we went to in Wading River. Not sure if you want to travel that far though.

Re: Mums - Fall flowers
When we were out east I stopped at The Glass Greenhouse in Jamesport and they had 8 small pots for $10.
Closer to us I was at the Walmart on Rte 110 yesterday and they had pots of mums for $5 each but they were bigger.
Walmart also still has some tulip & daffodil bulbs if you want to plant them for the spring.

We got 8in. pots 3 for $12 at the home depot this week. They've been the same price for week, we've been going there a lot since we're painting/moving.

Re: Mums - Fall flowers
the mums i got at home depot were dead. i bought them UN-dead, immediately following all blooms turned (even though they were watered often) and i miracle growed them. i always do the best at kmart believe it or not, but those stores are hard to come by these days. i'd get cabbage. they are so hearty. i had them last year until and past snow fell!! they aren't colorful though.
