Need advice...should I be concerned?
I have been getting this on & off pain on my right side. It is annoying pain but tolerable. I am 6 1/2 weeks & I don't have my first doctor's appointment for 1 1/2 weeks. Should I be concerned & call my doctor?
This pain I actually had before I was PG. I started getting it in July & always thought it was ovulation pain but some months it lasted for 1-2 weeks straight.
What should I do?

If you are concerned you should call your OB and ask. I had this last time with DD and I have been having it again this time. I do have a history of cysts so I usually attribute it to that - since they don't do anything for the cysts I get since they go away on their own and never get too big I don't worry about them unless they really hurt.

Re: Need advice...should I be concerned?
It's kind of strange, but a lot of things I've experienced during the pregnancy have been on my right side. Most of the pains and cramps I experienced at the beginning were on my right side. Some were extremely sharp and made me worried, but everything was ok. The flutters I felt for 5 or 6 weeks were almost always on the right side. Now, at 30 weeks, most of my swelling is on my right side.
I think side pains are pretty normal at the beginning, especially since things are stretching out, but you could always call your doctor for peace of mind.

Re: Need advice...should I be concerned?
I had similar "ovulation type" pain well into 10 weeks. I was told that it was my uterus starting to stretch. Also, the pain could be from the corpus luteum.
When in doubt a simple call to your practitioner will help ease your mind if you are nervous.
