Vaginismus

Hi-

I'm a regular poster, but I want my privacy for obvious reasons. I wasn't sure whether to put this here or on Relationships, or TTC, as this disorder is preventing us from doing that.

After a lot of heartache and frustration, I was diagnosed with vaginismus yesterday. I always knew that I had it, but I had some bad experiences with gynocologists who didn't take my pain during exams and my inability to consummate my marriage seriously.

I am looking for support from those who have suffered from this disorder, as well as stories about treatments that have worked. Obviously, feel free to FM me. My doctor prescribed sex 3 times per week (DH liked that one), with lubrication on both of us, as well as a vibrator, and using tampons regularly during my period.

Has anyone ever had experience with other treatments that have worked? I am desperate to start enjoying "relations" with my husband the way everyone else does. We also really want to TTC.
