529 plans
For those of you that have them - where did you get it from? Are most people in the NY one or did you shop around other state plans?

We did the New York plan, didn't really think about another state 
DH's cousin helped us set it up, he's a finance guy

I opened up one with Vanguard. It was a NY 529 so that we can take the tax deduction on our state taxes as opposed to one from another state which you can't deduct.

We used NY 529 & we opened it up with A.G. Edwards. But you can do it yourself online.

We haven't set ours up yet. But we wre planning on doing it through our Financial Advisor who is with Morgan Stanley.

I went with a Michigan one as my job administers that plan and it was just easier
