Treadmills

Okay, it's getting cold out and I'm losing all motivation to go to the gym after work. I'm seriously thinking about getting a treadmill for home. Any suggestions?

Re: Treadmills

I bought a ProForm 3something to have in the garage for this very reason. I prefer to run outside, even in the cold but it works out well for rainy & snowy days of winter. I didn't go for the most expensive or the cheapest

Re: Treadmills

I was walking in the morning before work and now I just dont have the ambition to go in the morning. It is dark when I get up now, and it is cooold.

I bought a treadmill during the summer at a garage sale. It is a $400 to $600 machine. I paid $40 for it. It was used once and is in mint condition.

I have it in a room with a tv in front of it, but I cant gett myself to use it every day. I find it extremely boring.

I know I need to excersize, so I am going to have to get myself on it in the morning, or after work.

Re: Treadmills

If you are still interested and have not bought one, let me know. We have one that is not being used. I have to convince DH we no longer need it

Re: Treadmills

I did a ton of research and ultimately got the "smooth" fitness treadmill which is awesome. In all honesty, mine was kind of expensive but there are less costly smooth ones out there. It doesn't make a lot of noise, has a lifetime warranty, and best of all, you can control the speed with a wave of your hand. There are other treadmills smooth makes that are terrific. I definitely recommend this brand. Good luck!

If you are doing running - make sure you get a wider belt. I have a Nordic Trak...but I'm scared to use it since it's on the second floor and we took out the wall below it from my kitchen and DR!! LOL

Funny. I have to convince my husband to let me buy one Chat Icon We currently have gym memberships and I generally go every other day. When it's warm out running outside is always a great alternative to the gym, but now that it's cold I find it hard to even get my butt in the car let alone the sidewalk.

Ideally, this is the road I'd like to take. I want to make sure I get a great machine. Something that will last the long haul. Especially seeing as I use the treadmill for running. Around how much did you spend?

If I could buy one (can't in our apt), I would go to craigslist.
