Blah Performance Review.

Well, yesterday was my yearly review and it kind of stunk!

I had a satisfactory/good rating over all but she told me that they expect so much more from me. Basically, if someone else got my exact rating she would be telling them "good job" but for me she knows that I can do better!

I guess it is inspiring and it has motivated me to work harder. I do all of my work and I do it well but she wants me to take it that step further and truly excel - which is a bit hard to do in my job but I am going to make more of an effort now.

It definitely stinks to hear that but it sounds like you are willing to accept constructive criticism and step up your game!! "I expect more from you" can be a double -edged sword..it's like saying I know you are capable of more (which is a compliment) but I haven't seen it yet (which is a bummer).
