Whoa Obama, dropping the tax cut amount
What is going on? Things keep changing. I am starting to think twice about him. Look at this....
Less and less people will benefit from Obama's tax cut. I think pretty much over 90% of business on LI make over $150,000.
Obama has been saying those that make under $250,000 will receive a tax cut. So 95% of Americans would receive a federal income tax cut.
Obama said in a commercial the other day that he has dropped that number to $200,000. So less people will receive a tax cut, and more will receive a tax increase.
Biden said in an interview either today or yesterday that people making under $150,000 will receive a tax cut. Less people receiving a tax cut or free check, and more paying taxes.
A video of Sen. Biden mentioning tax breaks for those making under 150,000 dollars.
An article explaining it further. Now I am worried.
How low will it go? I feel like my man is making me do the limbo. I am all for him on so many issues, but this is really bothering me. Nothing else matters if my boss lays me off and I won't be able to pay the bills. I have a wife and children to look out for.
Last I checked, $150,000 in LI doesn't make a family rich. People are going to hurt. Will I be hurt by this? I don't make that much, but my boss makes more than that, not by a whole lot, but he does. He'll be negatively affected, and dirt rolls down hill.
Clearly business owners will be hurt, even really small business owners. My neighbor owns a small private stationary store, she is not not rich or wealthy at all, but she will be taxed more as she clears that $150,000 mark by about $15,000. When it was at $250,000, I was okay with it because very few companies and people make that much. But $150,000 on LI, a lot of hard working LI'ers do make that between a married couple, they are middle class, and will be hurt by this.
I am middle class and this will hurt me.

A hyper link is fairly standard when posting on a forum. I don't really like to talk about work as my boss gets weird, but I am in the field of computers. I haven't had a chance to navigate through all the options.
Is that bad?
Am I missing something?

See, I'm reading this as, the tax break will go to those who are making under 150k. He didn't say anything about raising taxes for those making more than 150k. Plus, much of the interview seemed to be cut off. Not seeing the second part leaves a lot to be assumed.
Plus, Biden suffers from foot-in-mouth disease. This could be a symptom.

and unless I am mistaken a TAX CUT will go to those making uner 150k, NO CHANGE to those under 250k...

I didn't read the articles. No offense (really) because i was just saying today that I would almost guarantee that this is how it's going to go down (despite Obama promising 95% of people getting more money, etc....), BUT, 1) until either one is elected, everything is speculation and 2) if and when it does happen, i think it would hold more value coming from a credible source (meaning the media source... not commenting on your crdibility lol).
Still, i'm sure it will happen if they're elected.

Welcome! Thanks for your post. DH and I were just talking about this. Another lying politician... with all the smart people in the world...why can't someone 100% qualified run for president. I feel it's always a "lesser of two evils" situation at the polls.
