Jamaica!!!!!

DH and I are going (for our one year wedding anniversary) to Jamaica in 37 days!!!!!!!!! THIRTY SEVEN!! Anywho, has anyone been there before? What did you think? What kinds of things did you do there and enjoy?

We are staying at Sandals in Ocho Rios - I chose there because we wanted our own little cottage - we didn't want to be in a building with others. This property has these secluded individual cottages with private pools. So, that was the big decision maker -- luckily, we are close to another one of their properties also and they have a free shuttle that goes back and fourth. So, we can enjoy the pools, beaches and restaurants at both.

Anyone been to Sandals Ocho Rios (Grande) or Dunn's River??

Any recommendations in general for Jamaica? Anything we should know before going? We are flying American out of JFK -- December 1st!!

Oh man - I am not normally this excited but this vaca was SO cheap (we didn't have much for a vaca this year) and after the past few months - I just want to ENJOY myself, relax and spend quality time with Vinny.

YAY Danielle! You deserve a nice vacation. you've had a rough year.

I went to Jamaica on our honeymoon, we went to Negril though and basically stayed in that area, so I don't have an suggestions for Ochos Rios, but overall we LOVED it. you're going to have a great time!

We have stayed in that area and did Dunns River and Margheritaville. There's also a place where you can swin with the dolphins that's right across the street from Dunns River. We didn't do the dolphin thing, but we did walk around (it's like a small zoo) and sat outside and had drinks there.

We stayed at Sandals Dunn's River for our honeymoon. We loved it

Definitely go to climb up Dunn's River Falls it is fun

i stayed in montego bay 2x & my parents are actually there right now. Im soooo jealous.
Def do the dunn's river falls. that is amazing :)
My sisters did the swimming with the dolphins (right near the dunns river) def worth it ;) you will have a great time

I went there last year it is very nice. Sometimes the wait for the shuttle is long we got in the habit of calling the desk before we went out side and then they where always there. The resort is huge and they have a buss that goes to the beach side of the resort. The pool is beautiful and huge. They have cabanas to rent. We did not get one but I think if we go back we will. We never left the resort other then shopping. We took a cab back and forth. You can also go back and forth to Sandals Dunns River. I would do this. This resort is beautiful and a lot smaller. Ocho Rios has no beach and Dunns River has a nice and big beach. Have fun and enjoy!!!
