Question for moms who have had c-sections
How long did you spot after your c-section?
It's been 6 weeks after my c-section and I'm still spotting. Today heavier then usual. I thought by this point it would of went away. I was wondering if other mom's have the same thing or if it's something I should be concerned about. TIA!

They say you should spot for 5-6 weeks after the c-section and then AF should arrive if you are not BFing.

spotting for 6 weeks, I had 2 days off and then AF came AND I am BF , so annoying!! DS is 7 wks now.

Emerson is 6 weeks today and I just stopped bleeding/spotting within the past 2-3 days. I can't believe how long it lasted but the OB said it could take up to 6-8 weeks for it to stop so I guess it's normal.

I spotted for about 3 weeks after each of my 3 c-sections. I did not BF and got AF 28 days after giving birth all 3 times though

It's good to know a lot of mom's have spotted this long! I guess I'm questioning why I am having more blood then normal this week. I started to have more on Wed. then it subsided. Now this morning I had a gush of bright red blood, much heavier then normal today. It made me a little nervous!
I didn't think it was my period, because I am breastfeeding, & when I breastfed my dd I didn't have my period for 7 months. Although I do know you can get your period this early, it just didn't feel like my period. I am hoping it's normal!

its probably your period.
I EBF...had c-section. Bled for 5.5 weeks, then at 6 weeks bright red heavy flow. lasted a week..came back 28 days later.

Same for me and then I got my period (very heavy) like two days later.

I spotted for the first 4 weeks (actually didn't bleed at all for the first week) then at 4 weeks it picked up and has been bright red blood for a week now. I'm guessing it's AF already!! But I am FF so I guess that's expected.

Wow. I didn't really bleed at all. I didn't realize how unusual that is. I was done at about 7/8 DAYS PP! I also EBF'ed- but don't think that had anything to do with it. AF came back at 8 months PP.

For my 1st c-section I bleed about 6 weeks, and got af at about 7 weeks.
For this c-section, I only bleed for about 3 weeks. I am 7 weeks pp now, and still didn't get af- I had my tubes tied, maybe that's why.
