aahhh!
I was 99% sure that I was going to be offered the job I interviewed for this week. They called me for my references on Wed afternoon & now it's Friday 2:40pm & no call yet!  How long could it take to check references?

It can take a few days - with voice mail, conflicting schedules, etc.
Did you call your references to see if they heard anything?

thank you.
I've only been able to reach 2 of my references so far & nothing 
I guess I can only wait for now. Maybe if I don't hear anything early next week, I'll give the company a call.

I would give it a few days more. Maybe the people they were supposed to talk to were not in or something on thier side came up. I wouldn't sweat it. Did the interview go good if so they are probably just waiting to clear your references. Good Luck!!!

Thanks for the reassurance. Yes, the interview went so well. I met with the owner of the company first & then he called in the dept head & then the dept head took me around her floor to show me the dept. I sent them thank you emails that night and they both responded within minutes of receiving my emails.
