Points Question

I don't know what happened yesterday, but I only ate 14 points and not on purpose!

I spread my eating out throughout the day a little differently than normal and I guess I didn't "plan" well.

I ate breakfast (coffee, skim milk, farina & fruit), lunch (Lean Cuisine & water), snack (WW Choc Peanut Butter Bar & coffee w/ skim) and dinner (Veggie Burger on WW Bagel, Veggies & Water) and it only added up to 14 points.
I was full, so I didn't want to "eat" more even though I know I should have eaten more points. I happen to think I ate a lot, I don't really understand how my metabolism would be affected by the 14 points because I ate a lot.

For the BTDT people, are there any exceptions to the points rule? Just curious because many times I go above my points (1 or 2), but then there are days when I go below by 2, 3, or like yesterday 6 points. But I always make sure I eat good full nutricious meals throughout the day, even if they aren't point-heavy.

I don't know what BTDT means, but I will try to answer. Chat Icon

If you only do this once in a while, it may not make that big of a difference, but I think if you were doing it every day, perhaps it would. My personal feeling on this is that WW is a good program and gives you a good framework to work with. But, everyone's body is different and I think many people find different things unique to them that may work well, or may inhibit their losses.

The way it has been explained to me is that you should never eat less than 20 pts per day, or your metabolism will slow down. I think it also can be balancing enough protein, dairy and fruits, veggies and healthy fats. I think their assumption is for you to consistently be getting those in, you should be eating at least 20 pts per day. I say if you are losing, and getting your balance of nutrition, don't worry about it. If you see your losses slow down, add more points.

Re: Points Question

thanks. It's not something I do every day or intentionally. Like I said earlier, many times I am 'at' my points or above but I just felt like yesterday I ate a good amount of food (normal for my day) and I covered all the categories dairy, vegetables, protiens, carbs and just happen not to eat heavy points (meats, big snacks, etc ...) I was just hoping that the 6 points I missed didn't affect anything.
