Baby Scrapbook-1st year-question

So I decided to make a scrapbook of DD's first year. I went to Michael's today and bought a 12X12 book.
I bought a big pack of baby girl pages..now I"m thinking maybe I should return that and buy individual pages as I go (for the different holidays and memories I will put in).

If you made a scrapbook for your DC, did you buy a baby "kit" or buy as you went.

I made a first year album for my sister - an 8x8 - I got the kit for the baby boy album at Micahels..plus some extra paper, embellishments. But the kit was great and came with alot of embellishments.

To make it easier for myself, I made a "template" of what the pages would look like - every layout was the same, i just used different papers/embellishments.

If you like th album and the paper, keep it, you will be making pages for her for a long time.

Im still working on dds. I bought a 12x12 book.. found one that i felt represented her .. i got one with butterflys and roses on it.. love it. Then i bought a pad of different paper, also bought individual ones for holidays.. I keep going back and buying more stuff.. i didnt buy a kit b/c the kits i saw all the pieces it came with were the same colors and i want each page to be different.

Since yesterday I've been obsessed. I am still working on the page of when she was born, I'm doing 2 pages of it. I keep moving everything around. Also trying to decide if I should type something out about the day and put that somewhere..this is all I do on my spare time

I bought a big pack of baby girl paper, a pack of holiday paper, and b/c I scrapbook I have tons of paper and other stuff. It seems every time I walk into Micahels or AC Moore I come out with another thing for DD's album.
