Need help
My next WW meeting is Saturday, and unfortunately I don't have time to go to another one during the week to ask these questions, so I am hoping someone on here can help.
First, does anyone on here do WW and have IBS? I honestly can not stomach all of the fruits and veggies, even though I love 'em. I have been officially on WW for 3 days, and have had 2 attacks. Also, I am doing flex points, but was trying to stay at my 19 pts per day. I did that today, but ate a lot of veggies because I was hungry and they were worth 0 pts. Now I'm not feeling very well. Should I use the flex pts and go over my 19 so I can satisfy legitimate hunger since I can't have the veggies? What is the effect on weight loss? (I'm talking about being 3-4 pts over each day).
Also, the minimal amout of whole milk in coffee...is it worth anything? In the book I see only half and half. I don't put sugar in coffee, so I was wondering (and hoping) it would still be 0 pts.
On a positive note, I followed my diet today...19 pts. I worked out for 30 minutes, and...and this is HUGE for me...I drank 6 glasses of water!!! Those who know me know that I usually walk around completely dehydrated (maybe 1-2 glasses per day). So, this is a big deal.
So, I'm trying.
Please, if anyone can give some insight that would be wonderful. If I could also ask for some encouragement, that would be great too. I feel really lousy (stomach) and don't want this to get in my way of my motivation.
TIA

Re: Need help
I can't help you with the IBS issues. I am sorry that must be hard especially in the beginning when you're trying to get used to everything
You should most DEFINITELY use your flex points if you are hungry. That is exactly what they are there for!!! I eat all of my flex points every single week and have had no problems. My only advice to you is to lay off of thing like those 100 calorie snack packs. If you are hungry, try and have something you know will help sustain you and stay away from things that are going to give you a sugar spike.
Do you get your coffee out or do you you have it at home? I honestly don't know how much milk you put in your coffee so you'll have to measure it out and figure that out yourself. For example, if you are using what you are approximating to be 2 Tbsp of whole milk per cup of coffee that is .5 pts per coffee...that can quickly add up and if you are only getting 19 pts a day it could make a big difference. 2 Tbsp of skim milk on the other hand is 0 pts so if you can switch it may be better. If you must have your whole milk, I would measure out or buy a small container of milk and use it throughout the week. You can take those points away from your flex points in the beginning of the week and that way any milk you use is always accounted for.
You sound like you are doing AWESOME and you are asking all the right questions!!!!! You can do this, it gets easier with time...promise!
