Update on 11/21 HCG Levels

According to the date of my LMP, I am 4 weeks and 2 days and I just got my blood work confirming my pregnancy from the doctor today. Due to my history of ectopic pregnancy they are closely monitoring me right now.

My HCG level is 875, and the nurse told me it's a great number! She said they can't be sure it's not ectopic yet though, as they have to monitor it and make sure it doubles every couple of days. If it keeps doubling then it is likely to be a normal pregnancy. Then they can do a sono at 6 weeks to see if it's in my uterus where it is supposed to be. So, I go back Wednesday for blood test number 2. I'm really encouraged because the number is high so far though.

Does anyone know anything about this? Could an ectopic pregnancy yeild an 875 at only 4 weeks? I'm so anxious to know if this pregnancy is going to be healthy and viable this time.

UPDATE: My second reading is in and it's 1635!!! Progesterone is 28.5.

UPDATE AGAIN: My third reading is in and it is over 3900! Thank you all for your prayers. I'm going for a 5.5 week sono on Tuesday to make sure it's not in my remaining tube, but I'm feeling very hopeful with these numbers. Chat Icon

Re: 2nd UPDATE ON 11/19 HCG Levels

If I were you, I would ask, for one more beta, just to make sure and put myself at ease. Congrats! Chat Icon

Thanks! I am having one more beta tomorrow for safe measure, and an ultrasound on Tuesday when I'll be 5.5 weeks.

I'm actually starting to feel really happy and hopeful because my progesterone is 28.5 and my hcg is 1635 - I read online that only 2% of ectopics have progesterone over 25!!! I'm hopeful!Chat Icon Chat Icon
