NEW UPDATED: Kinda scared...
So I went to my OB/GYN on Monday nite at 8pm for him "probe" around inside for him to tell me to come back the next nite for a TransVag Sono... so I did... Evidently I have a cyst the size of an orange on my right ovary that is leaking fluid (so it was bigger) into my abdominal cavity. I have to have it removed as there weren't any cysts on that ovary two months earlier, and the size is "alarming".
In addition - I have to postpone my appt with East Coast Fertility as my Dr. doesn't want to "stimulate the ovary any further" until I have the surgery. Oh well... I rescheduled for Dec. 15th.
But, to make the pain oh-so-much-better, TBAF decided to show five days early... so not only to I have the PAIN from the cyst... but the friggin' cramps are ridiculous... I just hope this surgery helps out with the severity of AF.
On a positive note though... the nurse at the office said that the majority of his patients that have this surgery wind up getting pregnant VERY soon after the procedure... Why? Because apparently his also "roter-rooter's" the fallopian tubes and takes care of any other "business down there" while he's in there.
So... I am scheduled for a lap for Dec. 1 at 930am at Good Samaritan with my OB/GYN - I am praying for a good report - as I don't like the word "alarming" or "orange-sized" when talking about me or my baby makers...
Thanks ladies for asking about it - the support from this board is more than heartwarming...
I will post when the results are in.

I actually had laparoscopic surgery to remove a cyst on my ovary in June of 06 and by Jan. 07 I was pregnant and DH and I only BDed once that month!  and werent even trying!
So I'm a firm believer that it does help with getting pregnant!

I had the same surgery done in 2005. At the time I was not trying to get pg, the Dr told me you are VERY fertile after the surgery. Good Luck!!

Good luck with the surgery. I understand the pain you are in, I had a cyst that was leaking fluid not too long ago and it hurt to even walk. It sounds like after the surgery you should have something great to look forward to.
