Need lots and lots of prayers
Well i went in for my 2nd u/s at 6wk5day today. and we saw a little tiny flicker. YAY well im measuring smaller than where im supposed to be. I have to go again on friday to get another sono and more bloodwork. Here comes the part that i feel like crying all over again. I had bloodwork done today and my betas have gone up nicely according to the nurse BUT - theres always a but- my progesterone dropped from 16 to a 6 today. Please please please pray for my little baby. I cant bear to loose this one too. I emotionally cannot go thru this again. They are starting me on endometrin, im waiting for krupners to deliver tonite btwn 7-11. Anyone has been on endometrin with p4 levels low and have a healthy baby?
Ps i know this is a pregnancy question but i feel so comfy on this board. Sorry if i offend any by posting here

Re: Need lots and lots of prayers
Hang in there Try to be positive. You saw the hb the beta is rising nicely. Progesterone is the "easiest" problem to fix. I have done endometrin but did not get pg, just use a pantiliner. Also, FWIW you may want to ask about doing PIO. Suppositiories don't measure out in your blood like PIO. If you do the shots you will see the level rise which may make you feel better. Hang in there!

Re: Need lots and lots of prayers
I would ask your RE about doing the injections, mine fluctuated a bit and I did supps 4x day plus 1x PIO until my 11th week.
Good luck!

Re: Need lots and lots of prayers
Did they give you progesterone to take? As a pp poster said, it is an "easy" fix...
Hang in there!
You have FM!

Re: Need lots and lots of prayers
I hope no one minds my post as I am basically just a lurker. I can relate very well to this and felt inclined to tell you how my story went.
My +beta came at 11dp3dt. Beta numbers were low (11) but continued to double as it should...still the low #'s were not comforting. Doc told me I could stop PIO since my prog was in the 30's. Follow-up bloodwork showed a sharp drop to 12! I was put back on PIO and it came back up....phew! Next problem...our sonos showed an embryo measuring 4 days behind! The heart rate was also low in the beginning (in the 90's bpm at the first few sonos). Scarey! Very scarey! Doc told us that there was a slim chance that the embryo would survive.
Well our slim chance is now 9 months old and the best baby boy ever (biased opinion)! He always measured a few days behind throughout the pregnancy...but no complications. He was born a week late at 7lbs 3 oz.
So have faith!

Re: Need lots and lots of prayers
dilb712, I do know. I googled everything possible when I was going through this...just to find SOMEONE SOMEWHERE that could offer a happy ending to my situation. It was impossible to find. That is why i wanted to tell you my story. I understand as I have been there.
What I told you about was our second IVF attempt...and probably the last one before a long break as I was about to start a new job and just needed a mental and physical (and financial) hiatus from the IF insanity. Our first IVF attempt ended in an ectopic disaster...a ruptured left tube that had to be removed with emergency surgery at 7 weeks. Horrible experience! So our hopes weren't held too high. To add to it all, our embryo quality was poor...we started with 12, transferred a 4 and a 6 cell grade II, nothing else survived beyond the 3rd day (pretty much the same scenario during the first ivf cycle)...so he was our sole survivor. And then to deal with this "maybe pregnant, maybe not" situation was salt on the wound.
But here we are and I am so glad we didn't give up. And i wouldn't change a thing. Our journey has brought us to our son...and i thank God every day. Every heartache along the way has made looking into my son's eyes all the more beautiful!
