Hi.. I'm new and need help!!

I have only posted a few times on the TTC board but need some help from you girls. I just got back from an appt. at NSUH. I have to have the HSG test and am nervous. I'm just curious, does it hurt? and how do you deal with the emotions of going through this whole process?

now that second one is a loaded question. Honestly.... sometimes I don't. Denial is sometimes a wonderful thing. Sometimes I am angry and sad, sometimes I am hopeful and optimistic. It changes almost daily. The girls here are wonderful and basically I let myself feel however I need to. BUt talking about it is what helps me most.

I found the HSG painful, but in the scope of everything else, in retrospect it was not so bad.

I took a lot of advil, and didn't feel more than Af cramping. The entire exam is over quickly.

Emotions come in various forms when ttc. I think having faith in the future keeps me stable during all of this. Having a strong partnership with my dh and great support. The women on this board are wonderful. I think staying proactive in my healthcare is what also helps. Knowing that I am doing whatever I can ...helps me feel positive.

I have mine tommorow I will let ya know. I go to NSUH as well, so I can tell ya what it was like....

Dont worry so many of us have to have it, and I do think its going to be uncomfortable but worth it...
