WW and exercise
Questions for the WW experts:
I've been doing WW for about 2 weeks now and was disappointed when I weighed myself on Saturday (I do WW online) and I gained a pound!
I was VERY dilligent all week, saving my flex points and my activity points so I could eat more on Thanksgiving.
I didn't necessarily expect a loss (but since I stayed within my points I SHOULD have lost), but I didn't expect a gain.
Could it be my workout routine is building muscle? I've been riding the cycle machine pretty hardcore (about 60 mins a day last week). I know muscle weighs more than fat, but could have built muscle that quickly?
I was soooo bummed to be a pound up!

Oy! Okay first of all I know it sucks so bad that you had an exceptional week and then you didn't get the pay-off you deserved.
When did you weigh-in? Do you think you could be retaining water from your meal on T-day?
Anyway, to me it sounds like you're not eating enough. It's hard to believe that you actually need to eat more to lose more but with all that activity you should really add more points to your day. I would suggest either eating your some of your flex points OR your activity points to start. If you feel that you have too many points and that you are just not hungry for the flex or activity points, have something healthy but high in points like peanut butter or nuts.
Keep your head up! I know a gain is not what you would've liked but sometimes the body can be slow with results on the scale...

Re: WW and exercise
Thanks for the hugs. Yes, it could be water retention. I was not as good with my water on T-Day and I ate late on Friday. I always weigh myself first thing Saturday morning....
I have not been eating all of my points (activity and flex) because it just seems like a lot of food. I've seen discussions on WW board debating whether to eat all of your points or not. Some people swear they lose more when they eat more. The healthy, high point snack is a good idea!

Aaaah okay that most definitely could just be water then.
As far as flex points go I always eat them and had no problem losing. That's just me though everyone is different. I am always hungry so I eat! I just try to listen to my body and it let's me know what to do. Give it a shot! The beauty of it is if it doesn't work you can just try something new the next week.
