Don't know what to do...
I just had a miscarriage..it started the day before Thanksgiving and I just stopped bleeding yesterday. I was suppose to be 7 weeks pregnant but iI had an ultrasound on Wed at the ER which showed a gestational sac less than 5 weeks old. My beta numbers went from 216 to 323 to 0, which was done Monday. My regular physician still wants me to get an ultrasound done to make sure everything is out. I normally see a midwife and they don't think its necessary to have an ultrasound. the midwife thinks to go the least invasive route, since it would have to be an internal. I know ultimately its my decision whether or not to get one done or not. Not sure what to do...

Re: Don't know what to do...
If your beta is 0 now, and you've bled, is there any reason that they think something would still be left in there? I'm sorry you're going thru this. Are you in any discomfort or anything thing- any sore areas, etc...?

thanks, I'm not in pain or anything....I think I'm not going to get it done. I will probably stick to the midwife's decision.

started the day before thanksgiving - that's awful. I'm so sorry.
Go with your gut instinct. Do what you feel is right.
I would probably get the ultrasound done just to make sure it's all clear so when I was ready to TTC again, I know we are good to go. But that's just me.

I am so sorry you are going through this.
I will say that I do not find sonos invasive, and internal is pretty simple IMO. I had it done just to make sure there was nothing left and that I didn't need a DNC.

ITA. Over the past 4+ years I've had more internal sonos than I'd prefer to have in a lifetime, so they're no big deal to me.... but if there was any chance of seeing anything and I didn't want to know I woud tell them that before hand and just let them do what they need to- it takes less than a minute literally.
ETA: Not sure your reasoning for not wanting one but if it's b/c you think it will be uncomfortable I've never had any pain or discomfort from one if that helps at all.

I agree.. I too miscarried and bled for a while. But, I think you should do what you feel is right... So sorry to hear of your loss. Many hugs to you!
